This classroom-tested collection of leveled storybooks (6 copies each of 10 assorted titles) are designed to help young children in Grades K to 1 develop early literacy skills in the classroom, childcare center, or home. Handprints Level D materials are intended for students whose reading ability is developing beyond the emergent stage toward independence. Ranging from whimsical to real-world storylines with friends or family characters, the 60 books (10 titles) in this set engage beginning readers as they develop sight word recognition and build fluency and comprehension skills. Students will benefit most from reading these books independently, in pairs, or in small and flexible groups where literacy skills are near or on the same level.
Handprints is a collection of storybooks, workbooks, and teachers’ guides designed to help young children in Grade K to 1 develop early literacy skills.
